SIGNAMUS Cloudservices
Summarized under SIGNAMUS [lat. “we sign“] are the various AuthentiDate Cloudservices. With these services which are available via the Internet all companies can create and/or check qualified electronic signatures simply and without any complications at all times and from any location and upon request archive these automatically and securely and flexibly use other individual services such as e.g. qualified time stamps, data conversion, formatting, etc.
Why “Cloudservices”?
Cloudservices or Cloud Computing or cloud computer is primarily the approach to make abstract IT infrastructures (e.g. computing capacity, data memory, ready-made software and programming environments as a service) available via a network and dynamically adjusted to the needs. The processing of the data by applications becomes transparent for the user, therefore fades so-to-speak into a “cloud”.
The settlement is carried out dependent on the use as only actually used services have to be paid. A further central point of the concept is that the provision can be carried out fully automatically based on the combination of virtualized computer centers and modern web technologies such as webservices and therefore no longer requires any human-machine-interaction whatsoever. The secondary aim with „Cloud Computing“ is also to make everything available as a dynamically usable service, albeit now computer capacity, the most simplest work performed by people, a ready-made software solution or any other services (see also XaaS). Types of Cloudservices
A distinction can principally be made between various types of Cloudservices (“Clouds”) such as e.g. private, departmental, enterprise, public, exclusive and other Clouds, which all have their justification depending on the application case.
SIGNAMUS is an “Exclusive Cloud”
An “Exclusive Cloud” means that this can be used by any number of persons and companies and is no longer restricted to internal applications of an individual institution/of a company. The “Exclusive Cloud” presumes however that both providers as well as users know each other. They negotiate fixed conditions and accordingly conclude a contract.
In the SIGNAMUS “Exclusive Cloud” there are no unknown and no anonymous users – each company /user was clearly identified before the access and has approved the terms and conditions of use of the “Exclusive Cloud” in writing. This way each user can be identified in the system at all times and all transactions and movements of each user are recorded consistently in the Cloud.
